AbbVie donating Aluvia (lopinavir and ritonavir) to Chinese Government as an ad-hoc treatment for pneumonia associated with Coronavirus

Aluvia is thought to be a potential treatment for the coronavirus due to its ability to block a protease that the virus needs to replicate within the human body. It has previously been tested in patients with SARS and MERS, which are similar viruses.
