Acute liver injury following turmeric use in Tuscany: An analysis of the Italian Phytovigilance database and systematic review of case reports

This paper describes 7 cases of acute hepatitis occurring in Tuscany up to Sept 2019 linked to Curcuma longa formulations with high bioavailability and high dosage of curcumin/curcuminoids. It also identified 23 cases in literature, 16 of whom experienced a positive dechallenge.
