Adrenaline to improve survival in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest: the PARAMEDIC2 RCT

This RCT (n=8,014) found adrenaline improved 30-day survival (3.2% v 2.4% placebo; adjusted OR 1.47, 95% CI 1.09 to 1.97) and survival to hospital admission, with no evidence for improved neurological outcome. The ICER was higher than the threshold usually supported by the NHS.
