Air pollution and family related determinants of asthma onset and persistent wheezing in children: nationwide case-control study

Study involving Danish children born from 1997-2014 suggests those exposed to higher levels of particulate matter ≤2.5µm more likely to develop asthma & persistent wheezing vs. non-exposed. Other risk factors were parental asthma & education, and maternal smoking during pregnancy
