Antenatal corticosteroids for accelerating fetal lung maturation for women at risk of preterm birth

Evidence from updated review (27 studies, n=11,272 women and 11,925 neonates) supports continued use of single course of antenatal corticosteroids to accelerate foetal lung maturation. Treatment reduces risk of perinatal and neonatal death and respiratory distress syndrome.
