Association Between Glycemic Status and the Risk of Parkinson Disease: A Nationwide Population-Based Study
Population-based cohort study (n=15,168,021) suggests diabetes is independent risk factor for Parkinson disease (HR 1.038; 95% CI, 1.009–1.067 in impaired fasting glucose, 1.185; 1.143–1.229 in diabetes <5 years & 1.618; 1.566–1.672 in diabetes ≥5 years vs. non-diabetes group).
