Association between prediabetes and risk of all cause mortality and cardiovascular disease: updated meta-analysis

Analysis (129 studies; n=10,069,955) found prediabetes linked to increased risk of all-cause mortality (RR 1.13, 95% CI 1.10-1.17), composite CVD (1.15, 1.11-1.18), coronary heart disease (1.16, 1.11-1.21), and stroke (1.14, 1.08-1.20) over median follow-up time of 9.8 years.
