Association of Monogenic vs Polygenic Hypercholesterolemia With Risk of Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Cohort study of 48,741 adults recruited by UK Biobank found both polygenic and monogenic causes of hypercholesterolemia (HC) appeared to be linked to increased risk of CVD vs. HC with an unknown genetic cause, however, monogenic HC was linked to greatest risk of CVD.
