Association of Smoking and Cumulative Pack-Year Exposure With COVID-19 Outcomes in the Cleveland Clinic COVID-19 Registry
Study (n=7,102) reports patients who smoked more than 30 pack-years had a 2.25 times higher odds of hospitalisation (95% CI, 1.76-2.88), and were also 1.89 times more likely to die following a COVID-19 diagnosis (95% CI, 1.29-1.76) when compared with never smokers.
