Association of social relationships with incident cardiovascular events and all-cause mortality

Analysis of data on 4139 subject from population-based Heinz Nixdorf Recall study without previous CVD (mean age 59) found lack of financial support linked to increased CV event risk (HR 1.30; 95% CI 1.01-1.67) and social isolation linked to increased mortality (1.47; 1.09-1.97).
