Baseline Vitamin D Status, Sleep Patterns, and the Risk of Incident Type 2 Diabetes in Data From the UK Biobank Study
Cohort study (n=350,211) found serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D was significantly associated with a lower risk of incident type 2 diabetes (HR per 10nmol/L increase = 0.88, 95%CI 0.87-0.90). The relationship was more prominent among participants with healthier sleep patterns.
