Can children swallow tablets? Outcome data from a feasibility study to assess the acceptability of different-sized placebo tablets in children (creating acceptable tablets (CAT))

Study of 55 children reported that nearly all children aged 9–12 yrs successfully swallowed tablets of 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm as did majority of children aged 4–8 yrs (67%, 91% and 95%, respectively) demonstrating that tablets are an acceptable formulation for children.
