Cefiderocol and ceftazidime with avibactam to be first antibiotics reviewed by NICE under the ‘subscription-type’ payment model

The idea is to move away from paying for individual packs of antimicrobials and make an annual payment based on the health benefits to patients and the value to the NHS. The evaluation will be undertaken over the next year and will inform the subscription payment price each drug.
