Central fatness and risk of all cause mortality: systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis of 72 prospective cohort studies

Analysis (n= 528 297) found indices of central fatness including waist circumference, waist-to-hip/height/thigh-ratio, body adiposity index, and A body shape index, independent of overall adiposity, were positively and significantly linked to higher all-cause mortality risk.
