Changes over a decade in psychotropic prescribing for people with intellectual disabilities: prospective cohort study

This longitudinal study found although fewer antipsychotic prescriptions were initiated by 2014 than in 2002–2004, people with problem behaviours had increased prescribing, and there was a striking increase in antidepressant prescriptions (OR 2.80; 95% CI 1.96 to 4.00; p<0.001).
