Closed incision negative pressure wound therapy versus standard dressings in obese women undergoing caesarean section: multicentre parallel group randomised controlled trial

RCT (n=2035; Australia) found prophylactic closed incision negative pressure wound therapy resulted in a non-statistically significant reduction in risk of surgical site infection vs. standard dressings (occurred in 7.4% vs. 9.7%; risk ratio 0.76, 95% CI, 0.57 to 1.01; p=0.06).
