Commissioning Criteria Policy for the use of therapeutic Immunoglobulin (Ig) in England (2021)

This updated commissioning criteria describes all conditions for which Ig is commissioned and provides detail around its role, dose and place in the treatment pathway for individual indications in both adults and children, alongside possible alternative treatment options.

SPS commentary:

The colour coding scheme, which had been previously devised for demand management but was often utilised as a commissioning tool, has now been replaced by categorisation of Ig use; to routinely commissioned or not commissioned routinely categories. This is now based on the strength of clinical evidence.
