Comparison of two delayed strategies for renal replacement therapy initiation for severe acute kidney injury (AKIKI 2): a multicentre, open-label, randomised, controlled trial

In this RCT (n=278) in patients with severe acute kidney injury, oliguria > 72h or BUN > 112mg/dL and no severe complication that would mandate immediate renal replacement therapy, longer postponing of RRT initiation was not of benefit and was associated with potential harm.
