Conference report: Lloyds Pharmacy Safer Care patient safety programme reduces amlodipine and amitriptyline dispensing errors

Previously confusing amlodipine and amitriptyline when dispensing had accounted for 50% of the company’s ‘look-alike, sound-alike’ LASA errors. Following a workshop held at the company’s safety conference in November 2019, there was an overall 77% decrease in the error in 2020.
