Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Survey pilot: England, Wales and Northern Ireland, 2 October 2020

From 18-24 September, it is estimated there were around 1.54 new infections for every 10,000 people per day (95% credible interval 1.19-1.96) in the community in England, and around 1 in 500 people (1 in 500 to 1 in 400) had Covid-19.

SPS commentary:

The bulletin notes that there is some limited evidence that the incidence rate may be levelling off following steep increases during August and September, however the wide credible intervals mean it is too early to say.
