Corticosteroids for treating sepsis in children and adults

Review of 61 studies (n=12,192) found moderate‐certainty evidence that corticosteroids probably reduce 28‐day and hospital mortality among patients with sepsis. Also, corticosteroids result in large reductions in ICU and hospital length of stay.
