COVID-19: guidance on shielding and protecting people defined on medical grounds as extremely vulnerable

Suggests people who are shielding remain vulnerable but can now leave their home, as long as they maintain strict social distancing and continue to take precautions. If outdoors, this can be with their own household or if they live alone, with one person from another household.

SPS commentary:

The list of people who should be shielding includes solid organ transplant recipients, cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, pregnant women with heart disease and people with severe respiratory conditions such as cystic fibrosis and severe asthma.
