Study (n=2379 vs 142,750 comparators without autoimmune rheumatic disease [ARD]) found systemic ARDs linked to higher risk of hospitalisation (RR 1.14; 95% CI 1.03–1.26), ICU admission (1.32; 1.03–1.68), acute renal failure (1.81; 1.07–3.07), and VTE (1.74; 1.23–2.45).
