COVID-19 vaccination programme: Information for healthcare practitioners - updated
Updated to include a new section about administering the second vaccine dose beyond the recommended interval (RI). Whilst it is strongly advised that the second dose is given at the RI, it is unlikely that delay beyond this will adversely affect response or longer-term protection

SPS commentary:
The vaccine schedule section has also been updated. It now includes the JCVI advice issued on 14 May, which recommended reducing the interval between doses from 12 weeks to 8 weeks for individuals in the first 9 priority groups who have not yet received both doses in order to ensure those most vulnerable have the strongest possible protection against the virus at an earlier opportunity.
