Defining the Optimal Total Number of Chemotherapy Courses in Younger Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia: A Comparison of Three Versus Four Courses
RCT (n=1,017) found that those given four courses of chemotherapy had an improved relapse-free survival vs 3 courses after 5 years of follow up (43% vs 36%, p=0.03).Overall survival was not significantly different, and the non-inferiority of 3 vs 4 courses was not established.
