Demographic risk factors for COVID-19 infection, severity, ICU admission and death: a meta-analysis of 59 studies

Meta-analyses (59 studies; n= 36.470) found that men (vs women) and patients aged 70 and above (vs patients <70 years) have a higher risk for COVID-19 infection (RR 1.08 and RR 1.65), severe disease (1.18 & 2.05), ICU admission (1.38 & 2.70) and death (1.50 & 3.61), respectively.
