Developing Covid-19 Vaccines at Pandemic Speed

In this Perspective, authors discuss the challenges of developing vaccines and suggest if the pandemic abruptly ends before vaccines are ready, development of the most promising candidates should be continued so that they can be ready for emergency use should an outbreak recur.
