Early warning scores for detecting deterioration in adult hospital patients: systematic review and critical appraisal of methodology

Review of 95 articles noted most early warning scores were developed for use in US and UK. Many in clinical use had methodological weaknesses and might not perform as well as expected and therefore could have a detrimental effect on patient care.
