Effect of Antibiotic-Prescribing Feedback to High-Volume Primary Care Physicians on Number of Antibiotic Prescriptions: A Randomized Clinical Trial

Canadian RCT (3465 physicians in the highest quartile of antibiotic prescribing) found that a single mailed letter addressing prescribing duration providing peer comparison feedback led to a statistically significant 5% reduction in antibiotic prescribing vs no letter.
