Effect of Aspirin vs Placebo on the Prevention of Depression in Older People: A Randomized Clinical Trial
This substudy of the ASPREE trial (n=19,114) found that low-dose aspirin did not prevent depression (incidence rate of new Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression 10-item scale scores of ≥8 was 70.4 events per 1000 person-years in aspirin and 69.1 in placebo group).
