Effect of Dexamethasone in Hospitalized Patients with COVID-19: Preliminary Report

Preliminary report of the RECOVERY trial found that dexamethasone reduced the risk of death vs usual care in those on mechanical ventilation (29.0% vs 40.7%, RR 0.65, p<0.001), and oxygen therapy (21.5% vs 25.0%, 080, p<0.001) but not with those not on respiratory support.
