Effect of High-Dose Omega-3 Fatty Acids vs Corn Oil on Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events in Patients at High Cardiovascular Risk: The STRENGTH Randomized Clinical Trial
RCT (13,078 statin treated pts) terminated early due to low clinical benefit as it found daily supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids, vs corn oil, resulted in no significant difference in major adverse cardiovascular events (12.0% vs 12.2%; HR,; P = 0.84).
