Effect of Intravenous Acetaminophen on Postoperative Hypoxemia After Abdominal Surgery: The FACTOR Randomized Clinical Trial

RCT reported IV acetaminophen did not significantly reduce duration of postoperative hypoxemia (defined as haemoglobin oxygen saturation <90%) over 48 hours vs controls (n=570; 0.7 vs 1.1 minutes per hour; P = 0.29) with no differences in mean pain scores or median opioid use.
