Effect of Intravenous Acetaminophen on Postoperative Hypoxemia After Abdominal Surgery: The FACTOR Randomized Clinical Trial

RCT (n=570) found use of postoperative IV acetaminophen, compared with placebo, did not significantly reduce the duration of postoperative hypoxemia (time with haemoglobin oxygen saturation <90%) over 48 hours, likely due to only reducing opioid consumption by 14%.
