Effect of Nebulized Magnesium vs Placebo Added to Albuterol on Hospitalization Among Children With Refractory Acute Asthma Treated in the Emergency Department: A Randomized Clinical Trial
RCT (n=818) found no significant difference in rate of hospitalisation for children and adolescents (2-17 years) with acute asthma in the emergency department for nebulised magnesium sulfate vs placebo when given in conjunction with nebulised salbutamol (43.5% vs 47.7%, p=0.26).
