Effect of Omega-3 Dosage on Cardiovascular Outcomes: An Updated Meta-Analysis and Meta-Regression of Interventional Trials

This review (40 studies; n=135,267) found EPA/DHA supplementation was associated with reduced risk of MI (RR 0.87; 95% CI 0.80 to 0.96; dose dependent); CHD events (0.90; 0.84 to 0.97); fatal MI (0.65; 0.46 to 0.91) and CHD mortality (0.91; 0.85 to 0.98), but not CVD events.
