Effects of low sodium diet versus high sodium diet on blood pressure, renin, aldosterone, catecholamines, cholesterol, and triglyceride

Updated review found sodium reduction resulted in mean arterial pressure (MAP) decrease of about 0.4 mmHg in white subjects with normal BP and a MAP decrease of about 4 mmHg in white subjects with hypertension, with slightly greater effects in black and Asian subjects.
