Efficacy and safety of low and very low carbohydrate diets for type 2 diabetes remission: systematic review and meta-analysis of published and unpublished randomized trial data
Review (23 trials, n=1357) found patients adhering to low carbohydrate diets for 6 months may experience diabetes remission (HbA1c <6.5%) without adverse consequences vs. control diets (remission in 76/133 [57%] v 41/131 [31%] based on 8 studies, moderate/low certainty evidence).
