A commentary notes that prevention could have the greatest potential to reduce cancer incidence, whilst timely and effective cancer therapy can reduce the cancer burden, in young adults. It adds that the study is a reminder of the future needs of the substantial population of young adults who survive cancer and their unique health-care needs. Many survivors will face lifelong risks to their physical, psychosocial, and financial health, and health-care providers should be aware of their risks and respectful of their needs.
