Summary
In this US-based study of patients presenting with hypertensive urgency, 852 patients sent home were compared with 426 referred to hospital. There was no difference in major adverse CV events at 7 days (0 v 2; P = 0.11), 8-30 days (0 v 2; P = 0.11), or 6 months (8 v 4; P >0 .99.
