Summary
Two prospective US cohort studies of 2258 women and 1840 men who survived a first MI found that higher post-MI fibre intake linked to lower all cause mortality (HR 0.75, 95% CI, 0.58 to 0.97) as was increased intake from before to after MI (0.69, 0.55 to 0.87).
