Summary
Addition of ezetimibe to simvastatin in patients (n= 18,144) stabilized after acute coronary syndrome reduced frequency of ischemic stroke (HR = 0.79, 0.67-0.94), with a large effect seen in prior stroke (HR 0.52, 0.31-0.86) vs no prior stroke (HR 0.84, 0.70, 1.01; p= 0.078).
