Summary
This open-label study was undertaken to assess the bioavailability (F) and pharmacokinetic impact of grapefruit juice (GFJ) on oral ibrutinib (n=8). Under fasting conditions F was 3.9%, increasing to 15.9% when taken 30 minutes before breakfast and with GFJ pre-treatment.

F was 8.4% when administered 30 minutes before a standard breakfast without GFJ. The SPC for ibrutinib states that it must not be taken with grapefruit juice or Seville oranges.
