Summary
Retrospective study (n= 49,331) found that longer time to completion of 3 hour bundle and longer time to administration of antibiotics was associated with higher risk-adjusted in-hospital mortality, but not longer time to the completion of bolus IV fluids in patients with sepsis.

The Surviving Sepsis Campaign has updated its international Guidelines for Management of Sepsis and Septic Shock. The 2016 guidelines are appropriate for the sepsis patient in a hospital setting and are intended to be best practice.
