Summary
Norwegian study (n=29,582 healthy people) noted substantial decline in coronary heart disease (CHD) incidence, driven by reductions in out-of-hospital sudden death and hospitalised STEMI. Changes in modifiable coronary risk factors accounted for 66% of decline in CHD events.
