The authors of a comment article note that although still strictly hypothesis-generating, risk strata are not only an important biological accomplishment, but might also have therapeutic implications. They add that much work still needs to be done to formulate the best combination of targeted therapy for the cancer cell and modification of the microenvironment to optimise some of the oldest therapies, including radiation.
