Summary
Daily supplementation with long-chain ω-3 PUFAs (DHA and EPA) or macular xanthophylls (lutein and zeaxanthin), in addition to minerals and vitamins, did not reduce the risk of CVD (myocardial infarction, stroke, or cardiovascular death) in elderly patients (median 74yr) with AMD.
