Italian RCT (n=240) reported that colchicine added to NSAIDs reduced rate of subsequent recurrences of pericarditis in patients with multiple recurrences vs. placebo (recurrence in 26 (21.6%) colchicine vs.51 (42.5%) placebo group: RR 0.49; 95% CI, 0.24—0.65; p=0.0009; NNT 5).
