Summary
This open-label study (n=1,010) found panitumumab to be non-inferior to cetuximab with respect to overall survival (median 10.4 v 10.0 months; respectively; HR 0.97; 95% CI 0.84-1.11) in patients with chemotherapy-refractory wild-type KRAS exon 2 metastatic colorectal cancer.

In Technology Appraisal 242 (January 2012), NICE does not recommend the use of cetuximab or panitumumab for the treatment of people with metastatic colorectal cancer that has progressed after first-line chemotherapy.
