All Accu-Chek® Insight insulin pumps – risk of alarm failure

An urgent Field Safety Notice from Roche advises users of the Accu-Chek Insight insulin pumps that the audible and/or vibration alarms might not function, which may lead to hyperglycaemia if they don’t see the notification message on the pump.

All healthcare workers responsible for patients who use Accu-Chek Insight insulin pumps need to identify all such users and ensure that they and/or their carers receive a copy of the Field Safety Notice (available to download via a link in the alert), understand the information contained and follow the advice given by the manufacturer.
